The story of the mustard seed is one of the most extreme examples of growth.

This short parable translates to many of our careers, starting with humble beginnings and an extreme faith that we could use and grow our gifts to take care of many people. Just like most anything, without care and attention the seed, our ideas, will not flourish.

We are called to be faithful stewards in each relationship we develop. We serve our clients with our time, talent and resources while celebrating what our clients have built and will continue to grow with their potential new partnership.

Mustard Seed Partners (MSP) was a natural progression following a decade of practicing business law with a focus on dental, medical and veterinary merger and acquisitions. Our team saw a need to help professionals navigate the DSO/MSO journey with a high touch and detailed approach to ensure a smooth process. I had the extreme fortune during the last 10 years of my legal career of being mentored by and working with some of the best and brightest attorneys in Columbus, OH. Uniquely, two of those colleagues held dual degrees of D.D.S./J.D. and R.D.H./J.D. I also had the privilege of guest lecturing at dental graduate programs, dental symposiums and study groups.

Over the past couple of years, I stepped away from the legal world to focus on our family of six. During that time, I also helped guide my husband through the process of partnering his own orthodontic practice with an orthodontic support organization (OSO). In the last 5 years as their company has grown and changed, so has his role, moving from a purely clinical orthodontist to helping lead the Business Development team for a company that recently had a $2.4B valuation.

Mustard Seed Partners was born out of the many conversations we have had over the past 5 years with friends and colleagues asking about the DSO/MSO space. The ability to leverage my knowledge and relationships of the industry with my husband’s experience and combining our passion for helping doctors realize their goals and dreams set me on this humble journey. I enjoy watching these partnerships grow and helping doctors navigate these rapidly evolving industries.

  • Our team only reaps a fee if what we sow together during this process grows into a transaction that closes. If you do not partner, we do not get paid.
  • Our success is directly tied to your success because we are paid on a percentage of your Total Enterprise Value at close. This creates great alignment during the valuation process.

Following an introductory call and the decision to work together we will send you a very straight forward engagement letter outlining the details of our agreement. When you engage our team we ask for a 6 mo. exclusivity period of introducing you to potential partners. If we complete a partnership, the percentage of the total valuation is paid upon closing. Again, you will owe us nothing should a great partnership not be formed and closed.

In our experience the entire process, with a good cadence on diligence requests, should take around 6-9 months from initial engagement kickoff call to close.
